Summer

in Annapolis Royal

Summer gives Annapolis Royal a little more time in the day: time for a second turn through the gardens, a detour along the coast and an evening that need not end when dinner does. The town’s old streets lead to market stalls, galleries and the open grounds of Fort Anne, with the Basin never far away.

Begin with breakfast at Bailey House, then see where the day takes you. Walk to the Historic Gardens, explore Port-Royal on the other side of the Basin, or spend an afternoon beside the Bay of Fundy. Come back for dinner in town and the last of the light on the water.

Events

Summer brings more reasons to spend the evening in town. Look for live music, theatre and exhibitions, along with garden events and the town’s seasonal celebrations. Choose something for the calendar, book a table for dinner, and enjoy the short walk between the two.

  • A morning in townBrowse the market, stop for coffee and look in on a gallery before setting off for the afternoon.

Accommodations

A summer stay at Bailey House puts the town within easy reach. Four individually furnished guest rooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, offer a place to settle in between outings.

Breakfast is included. Afterwards, step out for the gardens, a day along the coast or a little time in the waterfront garden across the street. We can help with a route, a restaurant or a suggestion for the following day.

Shops & galleries

A little time to browse.

Between the gardens and dinner, leave room for the town’s galleries and independent shops. A painting, a book or something made nearby can be a lovely reminder of a few days beside the Basin.
