The Duke of Brunswick Room is furnished with antiques and traditional pieces. A collection of seventeenth-, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century portraits gives the room a more formal character, with German and Dutch connections reflected in several of the works and furnishings.
A private ensuite with shower adjoins the room. The room is prepared with high-thread-count 100% cotton bed linens and towels, Egyptian cotton bathrobes, Canadian Oneka bath products and a Dyson hairdryer.
The room takes its name from George III, who was also Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg. The Brunswick connection also survives closer to home: the Province of New Brunswick was named in honour of George III and his German possessions.
